Public hearings on the proposed CCH FY2024 Preliminary Budget were held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 6:00 P.M., and on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 9:00 A.M.

The Finance Committee approved the proposed CCH FY2024 Preliminary Budget at its regular meeting on Thursday, August 17, 2023, and the CCH Board of Directors approved the proposed CCH FY2024 Preliminary Budget at its regular Board Meeting on August 25, 2023.

The Finance Committee will hold public hearings on the proposed CCH FY2023 Preliminary Budget on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 9:00 A.M., and on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 6:00 P.M.

The Finance Committee is expected to review the Preliminary Budget at its regular meeting on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

The CCH Board of Directors is expected to consider the proposed Preliminary Budget at its regular Board Meeting on August 26, 2022.

The proposed CCH FY2022 Preliminary Budget was introduced at a Special Meeting of the CCH Board of Directors on August 9, 2021.

The Finance Committee reviewed and discussed the Preliminary Budget at its regular meeting on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

The Finance Committee held a Special Meeting that included two (2) Public Hearings on the Preliminary Budget on:

• Monday, August 23, 2021 at 9:00 A.M., recessed and reconvened to
• Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 6:00 P.M.

The CCH Board of Directors approved the proposed Preliminary Budget at its regular Board Meeting on August 27, 2021.

Submitting Public Testimony for Public Hearings

Instructions on how to submit testimony follow below

Testimony is limited to three (3) minutes per person. 

The options available for members of the public to provide testimony for the Public Hearings conducted as a part of this Special Meeting are:

• Submit written public testimony to be read into the record by the Secretary;
• Submit testimony in pre-recorded form of an audio or video file to be played at the hearing; or
• Call 312-864-7606 to record your testimony to an audio file that can be played at the hearing.

Submit testimony by August 22^nd at 5:00 P.M. for August 23^rd Public Hearing

Submit testimony by August 24^th at 1:00 P.M. for August 24^th Public Hearing

Written testimony and pre-recorded audio/video testimony shall not include the use of vulgar, abusive or otherwise inappropriate language or behavior when addressing the Board or its Committees; failure to adhere to this requirement will result in the testimony being excluded from the meeting.

Please be advised that, although every effort will be made to include testimony at the hearings that was received after the deadlines listed, all written testimony received before 6:00 P.M. on August 24th will be included in the meeting record.

Submit written testimony to be read into the record by the Secretary:

In advance of the deadlines posted above, you can electronically submit your written testimony for the Public Hearings at https://cookcountyhealth.org/about/board-of-directors/ or it can be submitted by email message to the Secretary to the Board at dsantana@cookcountyhhs.org. Please indicate whether you are submitting testimony for the August 23^rd or August 24^th Public Hearing in your communication.  Testimony should not exceed three (3) minutes in length.

Submit testimony in pre-recorded form of an audio or video file:

• Record your audio or video testimony in an acceptable format (examples: WAV file, MP3 file, MP4 file, AIFF file)
• Testimony should not exceed three (3) minutes in length.
• Contact dsantana@cookcountyhhs.org to arrange for the file transfer. Video files in particular tend to be too large to send via email, so a file share connection can be created for your submission.  Please indicate whether you are submitting testimony for the August 23^rd or August 24^th Public Hearing in your communication.
• Instructions will follow to share your audio/video file. Please include a file containing your written testimony, to be included in the meeting record and shared on the CCH website.

Submit testimony using the dial-in option to record your testimony to an audio file:

• Call 312-864-7606 to record your testimony. Testimony should not exceed three (3) minutes in length.
• Please state your name (and organization, if applicable) at the beginning of the recording, and indicate whether you are submitting testimony for the August 23^rd or August 24^th Public Hearing in your recording. Do not include your personal contact information in the recording, such as your phone number or email address, as this information is shared publicly.
• After recording, please send a copy of your written testimony to dsantana@cookcountyhhs.org, to be included in the meeting record and shared on the CCH website.
