Raise Awareness About Heart Disease Among Women

Did you know…

Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year?

Did you know…

Heart disease claims the lives of nearly a half-million American women each year?

Did you know…

We can make a difference!

The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement works every day to fund research and fight this killer so more women can be saved. But they need our help. They have created National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 7 to raise awareness about heart disease among women and to raise funds to ensure they never have to deny research that could save a woman’s life. It’s a simple, powerful way to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke.

  • Wear red on February 7, 2014.
  • Love our hearts by being physically active, eating a heart-healthy diet, and being educated about heart disease and its risk factors.
  • Share this information with your friends and family – so that we can help end heart disease in our lifetime.
