Cook County Health’s team of obstetricians and gynecologists (OB/GYNs) specialize in comprehensive women’s health, focusing on reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth care, and wellness.

Our OB/GYNs provide personalized care tailored to the changing health needs of women at different stages of life.

Our obstetrics services offer complete care for pregnant women from conception through postpartum, including those with high-risk pregnancies:

  • Pre-natal Care: Routine checks, advanced diagnostic ultrasound evaluations, and genetic screening to ensure the health of both mother and baby.
  • Labor and Delivery: Private modern rooms equipped with the latest technology for a safe delivery experience. Services include fetal heart rate monitoring, chorionic villus sampling, and percutaneous umbilical cord sampling.
  • High-Risk Pregnancy Care: Specialized maternal-fetal medicine at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital, a Level III Regional Perinatal Center providing the highest level of care for complicated pregnancies.
  • Postpartum Support: Comprehensive follow-up care to ensure a smooth transition to motherhood, focusing on the mother’s physical recovery and emotional well-being.

Our gynecological care encompasses all aspects of the female reproductive system at every stage of life:

  • Routine Gynecologic Care: Annual check-ups, menstrual care, and menopause management.
  • Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Services: Specialized care in hormone health and assistance with conception.
  • Cancer Screening and Treatment: Expert management and treatment of gynecologic cancers including cervical, ovarian, and uterine cancer.
  • Advanced Surgical Procedures: Including minimally invasive techniques for benign pelvic tumors, endometriosis, and pelvic organ prolapse.
  • Contraception and Family Planning: A wide array of contraceptive options including pills, IUDs, injections, implants, and sterilization procedures.
