On recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration, Cook County Health will resume offering the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine at its Tinley Park mass vaccination site (18451 Convention Center Drive) on Wednesday, April 28.

The Tinley Park site will continue to offer the Moderna vaccine as well. Individuals may choose which vaccine they prefer to receive. The site is open for appointments and walk-ins for people age 18+.

Additionally, the hours of the Matteson mass vaccination site (4647 Promenade Way)* will be changing effective Friday, April 30 to 10AM-7PM Monday through Friday and 8AM-6PM on Saturday to accommodate those who are unable to get vaccinated during traditional business hours. The Matteson site offers the Pfizer vaccine, which can be given to people age 16+. Those age 16-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Walk-ins are welcome at all CCH mass vaccination sites. Individuals can still make appointments at vaccine.cookcountyil.gov or by calling 833-308-1988, Monday – Friday from 7AM – 10PM and Saturday from 8AM – 10PM.

Media availability: Dr. Gregory Huhn, infectious disease physician and Cook County Health’s COVID-19 vaccine coordinator, will be onsite for interviews at the Tinley Park location from 8:30AM-11:00AM on Wednesday, April 28.
