A CTOR Kelsey (“Frasier”) Grammer’s filming of his hit Chicago-based series “Boss,” in which he plays the role of Tom Kane, a ruthless Chi-Town mayor, will wrap up shooting for its second season July 10. Actor /directorMario Van Peebles (“New Jack City”), who directed a few of last season’s episodes, is in town to do the same starting this week.

The Golden Globe-nominated drama in which Kelsey earlier this year picked up a Globe for best actor in a TV series kicks off its second season Aug. 17 on the Starz network.

In the film, Mayor Kane resides in Hyde Park, and that is why the crew is often seen shooting on the 48th & Kimbark block as well as 48th & Ellis.

“THE OBAMA EFFECT” is the title of a new movie starring veteran actor Charles S. Dutton, who is also directs. The film is scheduled to open in select theaters July 13 and is a dramedy about an insurance salesman who takes a special interest in Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign after having a health scare that changes his life. Also starring are Meagan Good, Katt Williams, Vanessa Bell Calloway and Glynn Turman.

FORMER BOXING great Evander Holyfield recently sold his 109-room, 54,000-square-foot Georgia mansion for $7,500,000. But he is not happy, according to TMZ. The mansion valued at $10 million-plus was sold at a public auction, and the five-time heavyweight champ still owes JPMorgan Chase twice that much. He also owes $200,000 in back taxes and more than $372,000 in child support. After all, he reportedly has 12 kids from six different women. Wow!
