Cook County Health offers comprehensive therapy and rehabilitation services for patients of all ages in acute inpatient and outpatient settings, including:

Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Physical Therapy (PT)

Our Speech-Language Pathology division includes expert speech-language pathologists who assist patients with a variety of communication issues. These services address:

Word pronunciation

Cognitive development

Nonverbal communication

Swallowing problems

The Occupational Therapy division comprises Occupational Therapists (OT), Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA), and Certified Hand Therapists (CHT). Our team provides a wide range of services designed to help patients engage in everyday activities:

Postoperative upper extremity splinting
Upper extremity therapy
Treatment for developmental challenges
Activity-of-daily-living evaluation and training

The Physical Therapy division includes skilled Physical Therapists (PT) and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) who work with patients to improve movement and performance in daily activities. Our physical therapy services include:

Mobility training
Ambulation equipment provision
Trunk, neck, and lower extremity evaluation and treatment

Cook County Health offers therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings across Cook County.

A referral from a Cook County-affiliated physician is required to provide therapy services or equipment.
