Vaccinations

Vaccines for Cook County Health Patients
Cook County Health is now offering the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccines. Patients who have an established primary care physician or are currently receiving care through a Cook County Health specialty clinic can speak with their doctor about receiving a vaccine at their appointment or by calling to make an appointment.

Vaccines for the Community
Community members who are not established Cook County Health patients should call 312-864-0200 to establish care with a Cook County Health primary care physician in order to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.

Medicare, Medicaid, and nearly all commercial health insurance plans cover the full cost of COVID-19 vaccines. Cook County Health is offering COVID-19 vaccines to patients without insurance free of charge.

Individuals may also visit vaccine.gov to find another vaccine provider close to home.

Testing

If you are a Cook County Health patient in need of a COVID-19 test, please contact your doctor’s office to schedule a visit.

Community members can get a COVID-19 test at Stroger Hospital or Provident Hospital. You must pre-register for a test by calling 833-308-1988.

Universal Masking

Effective January 9, 2025, masks will be required for all patients, visitors and staff when entering our clinical facilities, including these spaces in our hospitals and outpatient health centers:

  • Exam rooms
  • Inpatient rooms (staff and visitors)
  • Hospital and health center hallways
  • Waiting rooms
  • Registration desks

Masks are currently available for pick-up at the front entrances of all CCH facilities. Additional mask stations will be deployed across Stroger and Provident Hospitals.

Masks have been shown to significantly reduce transmission of COVID-19 and other viral illnesses. Wearing a mask can help protect yourself and others.

My Shot Cook County
