Nicole Almiro serves as Chief Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer for Cook County Health. She has extensive experience in the development and maintenance of effective compliance and ethics programs. Before joining the health system, Ms. Almiro served as the interim Chief Compliance Officer for UI Health since 2018 and the Director of Compliance for the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Medicine since 2013. At UI Health, she developed, maintained and oversaw the compliance program for UI Health, the academic health enterprise of the University of Illinois at Chicago, comprising seven health science colleges, a 462-bed hospital and a Federally Qualified Health Center with 11 facilities. Ms. Almiro received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law.
