Dr. Daniel McCormick is the Executive Chief Clinical Officer. As ECCO, he leads the delivery of clinical care and operations, and fosters a culture focused on high quality, safe health care, service excellence, and regulatory compliance. Dr. McCormick provides executive leadership for clinical areas across the health system, including medicine, nursing, quality, research and experience.

Dr. McCormick most recently served as CEO/Hospital President for Franciscan Health Crown Point (IN) and its affiliated physician group. He previously held the role of Chief Medical Officer/Vice President of Medical Affairs with Franciscan Health Crown Point and was also the President of Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC and Franciscan Physician Network of Illinois, a 70-member multispecialty provider group. A seasoned nephrologist, Dr. McCormick started his career in private practice, taking on leadership positions within several practices that served south suburban Cook County.

Known for his strategic vision, mission focus, and passion for patient safety, Dr. McCormick has demonstrated expertise in leading hospital operations, market growth, team and system collaboration, consistently improving patient outcomes, safety, and financial performance.

Dr. McCormick earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and his MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He completed his internal medical residency at the University of Minnesota and his nephrology fellowship at Northwestern University.
