Cook County Vaccine Program Update
Vaccination Site Closures for February 16 Due to Winter Storm
Limited Release of 5,000 First-dose Appointments Will Open at Noon Tomorrow
Due to excessive snow and given repeated warnings from the National Weather Service of dangerous travel conditions, Cook County Health will be closing several of our vaccination sites on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Vaccinations will continue at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital, Provident Hospital, and the Ruth M. Rothstein CORE Center. However, all other locations, including our large-scale sites, will be closed
The safety of our patients and the staffs at our vaccine centers must be our first priority. The decision to close the sites was made out of an abundance of concern for those traveling to and from the sites.
Patients who are scheduled for appointments on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, will be contacted and rescheduled this week. Those with questions can reach out to us at 833-308-1988, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Cook County Health has provided more than 85,000 vaccines to the residents of Cook County and remains committed to ensuring that every person who wants a vaccine will be able to get one, as supplies allow.
Given the ongoing shortages of vaccine supply, the Cook County Vaccine Program will have a limited release of 5,000 new first-dose appointments on February 16, 2021. Appointments will be available beginning at noon at https://vaccine.cookcountyil.gov or by calling 833-308-1988.
We ask everyone to continue to be patient. We hope to release another round of first-dose appointments over the next few days.
