Shannon Andrews

Shannon Andrews joined Cook County Health in May 2021 as its inaugural Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer. In this role, Ms. Andrews is focused on identifying the root causes and operational functions that contribute to inequalities and building on the hospital’s dedication to the communities it serves to ensure increased change by advocating for racial diversity, equity and inclusion across the organization. She is also working with the health system’s leadership team to develop and implement programs that enhance diversity and demonstrate proven results creating a positive care environment for patients and a positive work environment for employees.

Prior to joining Cook County Health, Ms. Andrews spent almost a decade serving as the Chief Procurement Officer for the City of Chicago and Cook County.
