Letter From Department Chair

The Department of Pediatrics at Cook County Health promotes family centered care to children of all ages from infancy to young adulthood.  Our mission is to establish universal access to the world’s best care and health services for all Cook County residents regardless of the ability to pay, so all may live their healthiest lives.  We seek to create partnerships with other health providers and communities to enhance the health of the public. We also advocate for policies that promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of the people of Cook County.

We bring together a breadth of primary and pediatric subspecialty services throughout our wide network of hospital and community systems.  We provide well childcare visits, immunizations, screenings, emergency care, and specialized services based on the need of the child.  We also offer valuable opportunities to train the next generation of leaders in Pediatric Medicine to care for children in the communities and globally.

Together, we are committed to providing high quality patient care, innovative educational opportunities, and clinical research to improve the lives of children worldwide.
