Letitia Close is Cook County Health’s Chief of Staff and Government Affairs. She provides strategic oversight and direction across operational, governmental, and policy domains, as well as fosters robust relationships with governmental entities to support CCH’s objectives. She also serves as the in-house governmental affairs and legislative advisor to the leadership team regarding federal, state or local legislative matters and initiatives.
Ms. Close has more than 30 years of experience in legislative advocacy and government relations. She joined Cook County Health in 2013 after working in various roles at Cook County and the City of Chicago for much of her career. After working as a private sector consultant for several years, Ms. Close transitioned back to the public sector, working in Government Relations at the Chicago Transit Authority before joining the Cook County Board President’s Office working on government and legislative affairs. Ms. Close earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Loyola University in Chicago.
